Happy Friday Westheights,
During the pandemic we have created ways for us to safely connect with each other (i.e the Contact List and the Kindness Initiative). Recently, a few wonderful Westheights people decided to launch Westheights Games – playing online games together from our homes – as another way to safely connect with other people from our church and we want to invite you to join us! Virtual Reading & Discussion
Come join us March 14th, at 2pm for a virtual reading of “Tear Soup” a book full of rich imagery on healing after loss. Amid the good times, this past year has had no shortage of hardships, discomfort, and loss. Loss of loved ones, life the way we knew it, connection to family/friends and more. Together we will read through the book, and break into small groups to reflect further.
This book was written with children in mind, however has great insights for adults alike. All ages are welcome to join for the reading and follow up conversation and resources. Follow this link for the Zoom call.
The Community Centre Collection
We recently began collecting items to be distributed by the Forest Heights Community Centre. Please consider purchasing diapers (size 2-6), sanitary pads or toothpaste and drop them in the bin located on the ramp to the church office.
Tax Receipts
This year tax receipts will be distributed by mail. In the event that we do not have your mailing address, we will get in touch with you to arrange delivery.
Prayer Requests
If you would have something that you would like us to pray for, email your prayer request to prayerrequest@westheights.org. Prayer requests will be forwarded to Westheights folks who have expressed a desire to support us in prayer. If you would like to receive these prayer requests please email office@westheights.org and we will add you to the distribution list.
Virtual Foyer
This Sunday we are once again having a virtual foyer by using Zoom so that we can see and say ‘hi” to one another after the service. To join in right after this Sunday’s service, simply click this link.
