There is never a more exciting or intimidating time to be alive than in your teenage years. Westheights Students is built around connecting young people with their peers and older mentors, and providing spaces for them to explore how God is working in their lives. We believe that the years between grade 6 and grade 12 are critical to a person’s formation of their character and passion and we want to help them to develop into lifelong followers of Jesus. Our programs are built with three goals: flexibility, creativity and above all – relationships. We believe that it is through the experience of community that questions can be asked, the Bible can be best understood, and emotions can be refined and expressed with honesty and compassion.
Westheights Jr. Highs // (Sundays @ 10:30-11:30AM)
Sundays for Jr. Highs will never be the same again! Our Jr. High programs is all about helping your grade 6-8s discover the Bible and their faith with fun activities, interactive teaching and small group discussion with their high-energy mentors. Jr. Highs meet in the Office Complex (portable beside the main building) in the big meeting room in the back.
Westheights Sr. Highs // (Thursday @ 6:30-8:30PM)
We know that high school can be a stressful time. And yet young people are passionate, excited and are looking at a bright future. Thursday nights for Sr. Highs are all about harnessing that hope to help grade 9-12s uncover what Jesus is calling them to be and their role in the changing the world for the better. Our hybrid small-group/upfront format means three weeks a month we meet in small groups based on age and gender where you’ll discover prayer, discussion and study with other students and great mentors. The last Thursday of the month is a pot luck supper, interactive teaching and worship that engages all your senses.
We also run regular events for Jr. and Sr. Highs like retreats, nights out, and awesome parties.
