“Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.” John 3:11

It is easy in our world of hard facts and empirical proof to get caught up in trying to validate our faith. It’s not hard to find Christians who have dedicated their lives to debating and arguing for the truths of the Bible against other ideas which they see as contradictory to Biblical truth. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, Jesus brings up an important point in this short verse when it comes to trying to teach or show truth to the world around us in which we live.
Jesus says ‘We speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen.’ It’s easy amongst all the debates and all the arguments we hear to forget that the best argument we have for our faith is our own experiences and testimony. Who can argue with your experience of knowing God’s love? Who can argue with the good deeds that you have done simply because you love God, and you believe that showing His love to the world is your calling? It is true that people still may not accept our testimony but it is the most compelling and strongest evidence of our faith.
