On Sunday, Goderich was hit with Ontario’s worst tornado in the past 15 years, when winds of 250-300 km/h uprooted trees, collapsed buildings, and flipped vehicles. One man was killed and 37 were injured. Mennonite Disaster Service is responding with local MDS volunteers in initial clean up in Goderich, after the tornado on Sunday, August 21, devastated much of the town.
Further responding with partner agencies is being planned. If you wish to be placed on a volunteer list please phone Orlan M, Martin D, to register your interest.
