This Thursday, the Sr. High students will be meeting at MCC Generations in Waterloo to help sort clothes and other items, so that we can support the great work MCC does around the world. MCC Generations is located at 50 Bridgeport Drive. E in Waterloo and we’re meeting at our normal 6:30-8:30PM time.
As we move through this Holy Week, from Palm Sunday to Easter, it can be easy to turn inward and reflective as we consider the work of Jesus. Prayer, worship, reading the Scriptures, and fasting are all a formative part of this week. Yet we can easily forget that worshiping God comes not just in our own private moments but also in our work to help those around us.
Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is a partner of the BIC Church (Westheights’ denominational family) whose work extends around the world assisting with relief efforts, health care, disaster assistance and more. The money raised at MCC Generations is a vital part of this work. Our own Heather Gallian is the manger of MCC Generations!
