Team Nicaragua is looking for donations for the children’s program in Nicaragua. However, before we talk about that, let’s introduce Team Nicaragua 2014!
- Karl Cober
- Roy Felder
- Rudy Hofer
- Terry Kirkland
- Brooklyn Lester
- Todd Lester
- Trevor Main
- Ryan Terpstra
- Melanie Wigg
The team will be leaving for Nicaragua on Monday, Feb 3 and returning Sunday, Feb 16.
Their tasks will include clearing a site in preparation for the building of a conference facility for the churches of Nicaragua, running children’s programs at three different locations, and participating in worship services.
Team Nicaragua is underway, getting their passports in order, taking their meds, suffering with their needles, and digging out their summer wear.
Not only do they ask for our prayers, they ask that the congregation help with their project by donating supplies for the children’s programs.
While they have already received some donations, they will need significantly more as they will be ministering to children at four locations. They are anticipating up to 150 children at these programs so they need lots of help from the congregation! As we did at Project Give, we have posted tear-off sheets in the foyer of the church. Please tear off a couple of tabs and bring your donations back to church between now and Saturday, Feb 1 when they will be packing their bags.
If you are unable to be at church on Sunday, following is a summary of what the team is looking for. Please pick up some of these items and drop them off to the church anytime before Saturday, Feb 1.
- 75 boxes of Crayola crayons (24 pack)
- 62 boxes of Crayola pencil crayons (24 pack)
- 138 dark face cloths
- 75 pencil sharpeners
- 75 notebooks (5″x8″)
Thank you!
