MCC continues to respond to the needs of people in Nepal affected by recent earthquakes. MCC has raised nearly $400,000 in Ontario, and we encourage an ongoing generous response as MCC continues its emergency response including food and shelter.
The Canadian government has indicated it will provide matching funds for donations from individual Canadians to relief efforts in Nepal until Monday, May 25. That matching fund is distributed to Canadian and international agencies as decided by the government. MCC is eligible to receive matching funds. To be eligible for matching dollars forward your cheques by Monday, May 25, payable to “Mennonite Central Committee,” to: Mennonite Central Committee, 203-50 Kent Ave, Kitchener, Ontario, N2G 3R1.
See this interactive map showing details of MCC’s response. For details on where your donations will specifically be used, click here.
Many thanks for your ongoing prayers and support.
