Arlene Bailey recently passed away just one month after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. While she was at Westheights, Arlene was known for her gentle, friendly smile and her deep love for her three daughters. And how many of us enjoyed her delicious tea-infused homemade jams? Arlene was an active participant at Westheights Church for many years before moving to Brantford three years ago where she found another caring church community, Brant Community Church. At Brant Community Church she enjoyed participating in women’s events and occasionally helping with children’s ministry.
Brant Community Church (BCC) is participating in this year’s Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope on September 13, in honour of Arlene Bailey. Arlene’s husband, Gordon, is a participant on this team. We encourage our Westheights people to donate to BCC’s walk. Every dollar their team raises supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
