It has been such a privilege for our Westheights community to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our next-door neighbours at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre.
Our students, kids and their leaders are excited to have been invited back to lead a 10th Sunday service!
We count this a unique opportunity—a demonstration that neither age nor ‘disability’ bars us as Christ-followers from being co-worshippers, as well as worship leaders, teachers, pastors, and encouragers, as we use our gifts to inspire each other and give glory to God.
The students and children plan to serve this community of residents as they:
• bless and encourage the residents
• lead in worship
• read scripture
• tell Bible stories or share stories of faith
• inspire worship moments
• teach and/or share mini-sermons
Those who are comfortable may also have a chance to talk with or pray with residents—and we fully expect that some residents, as fellow-believers, will pray for, encourage and bless us in return!
