Our 9th annual Project Give was a blast as we stretched the event into our main worship service. We began with an all-ages worship time including a funny skit about Christmas lights that illustrated how we need everybody to work together to have a powerful influence, and a fun Christmas song that we called “The 12 Days of MCC” where the gifts came directly out of the MCC Christmas Gift Guide.
Watch this fun video of Westheights Church’s unique version of The 12 Days of MCC:
On the 1st day of Christmas I gave to MCC, a tree nursery in Haiti
On the 2nd day of Christmas I gave to MCC, two eco-stoves
On the 3rd day of Christmas I gave to MCC, three kitchen kits
On the 4th day of Christmas I gave to MCC, four healthy meals
On the 5th day of Christmas I gave to MCC, five life-saving latrines!
On the 6th day of Christmas I gave to MCC, six hens-a-laying
On the 7th day of Christmas I gave to MCC, seven tools for building
On the 8th day of Christmas I gave to MCC, eight goats for milking
On the 9th day of Christmas I gave to MCC, nine sewing lessons
On the 10th day of Christmas I gave to MCC, ten rabbits-leaping
On the 11th day of Christmas I gave to MCC, eleven days of childcare
On the 12th day of Christmas I gave to MCC, twelve water wells
We had such fun at Project Give, making New Year postcards and paper weaving crafts for our Forest Heights Long Term Care neighbours, and packing hygiene kits and knotting comforters for MCC! Thanks to your generosity and energetic participation, we made 50 postcards and crafts for our FHLTCC neighbours, completed two comforters, and filled 162 hygiene kits (with lots of extra supplies to donate to MCC for other kits)!
