Drum roll, please! Our final tally for this year’s food drive is in… Together with our neighbours, you helped raise:
Food Donated: 3,186 lbs (WOW!)
Funds Donated: $80.80
For a total of 2,731 meals that will help feed our hungry neighbours!
Our goal was to collect 3,000 pounds so we far surpassed that, especially when you include the cash donations. Our donation filled five of the six bins in the Food Bank truck.
Way to go, Westheights! Thanks for your donations, and all your help to collect from the neighbourhood and make Halloween for Hunger such a huge success once again.
The Food Bank of Waterloo Region sent us this message:
“Please share our appreciation with everyone who participated and thank you again for all the work you have done, and continue to do on our behalf. It is because of the strong community leadership that we are able to help the 1 in 20 families in our community in need of food assistance!”
