Happy Friday, Westheights! Over the past week, I have been eagerly watching our vegetable gardens, waiting for signs of life in the emptiness of the dirt. Sure enough, over the past few days, we have watched little sprouts poke their heads out of the soil. In many ways, it is a physical reminder to have hope – that Jesus is the one who brings life (and the possibility of harvest) to empty places.

1. Communion This Weekend

As a part of our Craving Connections teaching series, we will be participating in Communion together this Sunday, as we talk about our relationships with one another. In preparation for communion, we are asking that you have a small glass of red juice and a piece of bread (or cracker) with you so that we can eat and drink together. Please have your elements ready for the beginning of the service.

2. June Zoom House Church

Are you looking for a unique way to fill your COVID time that will also help you grow in your faith? Well, for the month of June, Terry & Beth Kreutzkamp are hosting a 4-week Zoom group for people who would like to have a taste of our Westheights House Church ministry. This house church will be meeting, via Zoom, on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 during the month of June. There will be games, discussion and prayer, and possibly virtual snacks. If you are interested in participating in the June Zoom House Church please contact Terry for (zoom) details at terrykreutzkamp@westheights.org.

3. Virtual Foyer

This Sunday we are once again having a virtual foyer by using Zoom so that we can see and say ‘hi” to one another after the service.  To join in right after this Sunday’s service, simply click this link. If you aren’t set up with Zoom yet, we recommend that you click on the link and set things up before Sunday.

4. Online Devotional Study

On Monday June 1, we will begin a 5 day devotional study based on the book of Ruth. To join, click here.

5. Looking For Worship Music?

One of the songs in this week’s playlists is “Blessings” by Laura Story. Be encouraged by the lyrics of the chorus:

What if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

The theme for this week’s Spotify and YouTube playlists is hope and encouragement.
