Committed
Message by Josh Mutter – February 13, 2022
Big Idea: We want to be a church that is committed to one another.
-
We are committed to one another when we are invested in one another’s lives.
-
We are committed to one another when we choose to elevate others.
-
We are committed to one another when our focus is what we have in common.
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. – Romans 12:9-16 NIV
We are committed to one another when we are invested in one another’s lives (10a).

We are committed to one another when we choose to elevate one another (10b).
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather in humility value others above yourselves. – Philippians 2:3 NIV.
