The Sanctuary Course is a resource designed to engage communities of faith in vital conversations about mental health and mental health challenges. Come and learn about important topics such as stigma, recovery, companionship, and self-care. This course requires no prior mental health training or expertise; it is for anyone interested in starting the faith and mental health conversation. You can learn more at sanctuarymentalhealth.org.
It is 8 sessions long, on Sundays from January 5 – March 2nd (no session February 16) from 12pm-1:30pm. It will involve watching a video together, and then getting into small groups to reflect on what we learned. Our course facilitators are Melodie and Josh Reinders.
We encourage people signing up to come to every session, or at least to commit to coming to every session they can.
