Message by Josh Mutter – July 6, 2025

BIG IDEA: The Holy Spirit grows Jesus’ love in us, transforming our choices, relationships, and even our regrets.

Galatians 5:22-23a (NIV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

  • Agape love is a self-giving, patient, and persistent commitment to seek the good of others, regardless of how we feel or how they respond.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a (NIV) Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

  • Love isn’t something we just feel; it’s something we repeatedly choose.
  • Jesus shows us what love looks like and gives us what we need to live it out.

John 13:14 (NIV)  Now that I…have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
