Mark 12 (NIV) “Jesus then began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a pit for the winepress and built a watchtower…”
Big Idea: Jesus invites us to consider how by giving up control, we discover the ability to receive something better.
The parable of the tenants tells the story of God’s relationship with humanity.
- This parable reminds us that God’s starting point is provision.
- This parable reminds us that God chooses to partner with people.
- This parable reminds us of God’s persistence towards us.
- This parable reminds us of our tendency to take control.
How will we respond?
- Will we cling to our need to control?
- Will we surrender our need to control?
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10B (NIV)
