Annual Church Picnic
Join us on Sunday, June 14 after church for our Annual Church Picnic at Petersburg Park. Lunch will be served at 12:30 PM, and you’re welcome to stay for the afternoon—whether you come just for lunch or linger for connection, casual games, and time outdoors, there’s space for everyone.
Why Attend?
This is a favourite annual event where Westheights Church connects in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. Many have said this was their first event—it’s an easy, welcoming way to step into community.
It’s an opportunity to get to know each other better while enjoying nature. With open space, a playground, picnic tables, and plenty of shade, there’s something for all who come. We provide the hamburgers, hotdogs and a treat, and you’re welcome to bring lawn games and activities to enjoy throughout the afternoon. Come for lunch or stay for the whole afternoon!
Looking For Volunteers
Volunteering at the picnic is a great way to connect and serve—no commitment or training required! Volunteers are needed to help arrange picnic tables, BBQ burgers, serve food, host a welcome station, and clean up. To help out, please connect with Cindy at eventsteam@westheights.org
Event Details
What: Church picnic with hamburgers, hotdogs and a treat provided, and time to connect beyond the meal!
Who: This is an all-Westheights event—come and bring your loved ones – familiy, friends, house church members…anybody!
When: Sunday, June 14, 2026 (after church, lunch served at 12:30 PM)
Where: Petersburg Park, 1338 Notre Dame Drive, Petersburg
Weather: A covered pavilion is available, so the event will run rain or shine
What to Bring
- Your own dishes and water bottles
(families are welcome to bring additional food—please no nuts) - Lawn games or outdoor activities
(there are baseball fields and plenty of green space) - Table games that work well outdoors (especially in windy conditions)
(there’s lots of table space available) - Lawn chairs or picnic blankets (if you prefer over picnic tables)
