This was Pastor Todd’s penultimate message, as Senior Pastor at Westheights Community Church.
One of the most remarkable things that Jesus said is “According to your faith, let it be done to you” (Matthew 9:29). According to Jesus, if your faith is small, your future is small. And if your faith is big, then your future is big. Activate God’s power in your life through faith and belief.

NEVER GIVE UP FAITH
Matthew 9:29 (NIV) According to your faith let it be done to you.
Hebrews 11:6 And it is impossible to please God without faith.
FAITH IS SEEING FROM GOD’S POINT OF VIEW
Hebrews 11:1 Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
Ephesians 1:18 (NIV) I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you….
Genesis 21:19 Then God opened Hagar’s eyes, and she saw a well full of water. She quickly filled her water container and gave the boy a drink.
2 Kings 6:17 Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.
Luke 24:31 Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE SEE WITH EYES OF FEAR?
WE EXAGGERATE OUR DIFFICULTIES
Numbers 13:31-32 “We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are!” So they spread this bad report about the land among the Israelites: “The land we traveled through and explored will devour anyone who goes to live there. All the people we saw were huge.”
WE UNDERESTIMATE OUR ABILITIES
Numbers 13:33 Next to them we felt like grasshoppers, and that’s what they thought, too!
WE GET DISCOURAGED
Numbers 14:1 Then the whole community began weeping aloud, and they cried all night.
WE START TO COMPLAIN
Numbers 14:2 Their voices rose in a great chorus of protest against Moses and Aaron. “If only we had died in Egypt, or even here in the wilderness!” they complained.
WE GIVE UP AND BLAME GOD
Numbers 14:3 “Why is the Lord taking us to this country only to have us die in battle?”
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE SEE WITH EYES OF FAITH?
FAITH SHRINKS OUR PROBLEMS
Genesis 18:14a Is anything too hard for the Lord?
Matthew 19:26 With God everything is possible.
FAITH OPENS THE DOOR FOR MIRACLES
Mark 11:22-24 Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen…”
FAITH MOVES GOD TO ACT ON MY BEHALF
John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.
FAITH UNLOCKS THE PROMISES OF GOD
2 Corinthians 1:20a (NIV) For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ…
FAITH TURNS GOD-GIVEN DREAMS INTO REALITY
Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
FAITH GIVES ME THE POWER TO PERSEVERE
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.
John 3:3 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
