“No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.” John 3:13

READ

Jesus’ theme in this passage is His teaching about how to enter the kingdom of heaven. Take a moment to read this passage and consider the phrase, “No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven.” Jesus is the one who carries the title as the ‘son of man.’ This small verse is an incredible declaration of Christ’s uniqueness in our world. Jesus is the only individual who ever ‘came from heaven,’ and therefore is the only one who is uniquely qualified for the kind of revelation that He gives to this world through His teaching. For He is the only one who ‘came from heaven.’

What kind of authority do you give to Jesus’ words? Do we really look at Christ’s words in the scriptures and consider that He is the only one who has truly ‘come from heaven’? Do we take His words seriously when He tells us to love the hurting people of this world?
