Men of Westheights Community Church, my name is Alex Wang, and I’ve chatted with a few of you about this personally, but here is a general call to all of you:
As men of Christ, we are called to many responsibilities and roles throughout our lives … Fathers and husbands, leaders in our workplace and church, examples in the community and amongst our peer groups. There are definitely times when I feel as though I am inadequate in some (if not all) of these roles at one point or another and yet we know we have the most amazing strength which we can draw upon – Christ Jesus!
And through Him, we are united as brothers, called to support and encourage each other through the challenges life throws at us … and simply put, know what’s going on in each other’s lives and walk with each other through it. I hope that this retreat will be a stepping stone to forming new relationships, building on old bonds and overall just help us grow closer to each other and to God! (and of course part of that will be sports and campfires and all that other “manly stuff too” *grunt*)

WHAT TO BRING: Bible and pen, indoor shoes, bedding (pillowcase and flat sheet or sleeping bag), towel, lawn chair, sports equipment (e.g. football, Frisbee, baseball glove)
