Team Nicaragua leaves in just over two weeks and they are gathering small gifts to hand out to the approximately 175 children they will be ministering to. They would appreciate any help you can give in this endeavour. They are looking for gently used, or newly purchased, small gifts not much larger than your fist – e.g. small plush animals, bouncy balls, McDonald’s Happy Meal toys, combs, dinky cars, dolls, etc. Please ensure that there is nothing potentially frightening in your items, e.g. weapons, perceived dangerous animals (snakes, insects), monsters, soldiers. Again, the items must be small in order for the team to transport them all.
Deadline is this Friday, Jan 20. Please deliver your gifts directly to Paul or Cathy Burns, or bring them to Mimi Lee at the church during the week (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.). Contact the church with any questions (519-741-1986, ext. 0).
