We’ll keep this simple and sweet. There is no Jr High Sunday program beginning this Sunday (Dec 16) until January 13th, 2013.
There are a couple of reasons for this. During the Christmas Break, we’ve found that families are spending more time together traveling and seeing extended family and friends (which is awesome), so we’ve found very few students attend the weekend program that week. We use that as a opportunity to give our leaders a break, so they can recharge and be ready for another great semester in the new year. Also, as we transition back to meet on the property at 82 Westheights Drive, we thought rather than have that big shift happen before Christmas, it would easier to make the change once everyone’s back in school in January.
There’s lots for Jr. Highs to do however! On Sunday Dec. 16th, Project GIVE is happening. Project GIVE every year is a chance for us to build kits, decorate cards and do other great tasks that become a hands-on approach to helping others. It’s also a great event to do as a family. On Dec 23rd (7PM) and 24th (3:30, 5 and 7PM) we have our annual Candlelight Christmas Services.
We will have our first Jr High Sunday of 2013 on January 13, at which time our students will be meeting in their new location – next door in the portable offices! We can’t wait to see you in the New Year!
