Thanks to everyone who donated hygiene items, and to all who stayed after last Sunday’s worship service to participate in Project Give. We assembled 145 hygiene kits! We far surpassed our original goal of 100 hygiene kits, thanks to your incredible generosity. We even had extra supplies to donate to Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) for their relief kits. These hygiene kits will be presented to children living in refugee camps who do not have access to hygiene supplies. Also at Project Give, we knotted two comforters which will go to either hospitals, refugee camps, orphanages, or other locations experiencing disasters. We made cheery Christmas cards for the inmates at the Grand Valley Institution for Women. And, finally, our younger children made gifts for the residents of the Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre, next door to the church.
Here are some photos of this hugely successful service project.
