Isaiah 45:5 (NASB) – I am the Lord, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God. I will gird you, though you have not known Me.
Whenever things get confused or out of whack, reading this chapter brings perspective. Whether governments are right or wrong; though the world turns away; whatever my strengths or weaknesses, God is the great Creator and He’s the boss and in charge of it all. I can surrender to Him and trust Him for He is my Salvation! I will not trust in any other thing; I will look to the only true God and be saved.
The same passage in THE MESSAGE Paraphrase: I am God, the only God there is. Besides me there are no real gods. I’m the one who armed you for this work, though you don’t even know me.
