The Westheights Church family sends its condolences to Matt Reist on the passing of his stepfather, Ian McGough, yesterday afternoon. Matt was very close to his stepdad. May God comfort Matt’s family, especially his mother, as they mourn the passing of a very special man.

OBITUARY for McGough, Ian
Passed away peacefully on Thursday July 4th, 2013 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 52. Beloved husband of Kim. Cherished father of Ashley (Dave) and Caitlin. Loved son of Elizabeth and the late Tom. Dear brother of Glenn (Kathy) and Peter (Maggie). Loved step-father of Courtney and Matthew and dear son in law of Matthew and Nancy. Ian will be fondly remembered by his nephews; Jonathan, Chris, Paul and Andrew.
Ian’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Saturday from 6 – 9 pm and on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. A celebration of his life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday July 8th, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. John Bersche officiating followed by a reception. Cremation will take place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the KW Minor Lacrosse Association would be appreciated by the family.
