Our deepest sympathies to the Bacvar family on the passing of Steve’s father, Steve Bacvar Senior of Timmins, yesterday afternoon (Thursday, July 4, 2013). May the Lord be a comfort to the Bacvars (Steve and Laura, and children Joshua, Cameron and Vanessa) at their time of loss.
OBITUARY as follows:
BACVAR, Stephen “Steve” – 1941-2013 – The family announces with great sorrow his passing at his home on July 4th, 2013 at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of Noëlla. Dear father of Sue Smith and Steven (Laura) Bacvar and step-father of Carole (Mike) Rodrigue, Cindy (Drake) Whitney and Bill (Rachel) Kingsbury. Cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Loving son of Elizabeth Bacvar. Brother of Ed (Claire) Bacvar, Dave Bacvar, Bonnie Bacvar, Trudy Bacvar and Rick (Gaëtane) Bacvar along with his sister-in-law Linda Bacvar. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Stephen Bacvar and his brother Jack Bacvar. As per Steve’s wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Chapel (Fr. Simon Drapeau officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Interment at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to Timmins Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins.
