Marguerite Toman, 1926-2014

We send our condolences to Carol Vanwyck whose mother, Marguerite Toman, passed away peacefully last night (April 3, 2014). Marguerite was 87 and led a full life, leaving behind many who will mourn her loss, especially her husband of 67 years.

We pray for peace and comfort for the Toman family and all who loved and will miss Marguerite.

OBITUARY:

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 3, 2014 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener just short of her 88th birthday.

Beloved wife of Cameron for more than 66 years. Loving mother to Donna Zarnke (Paul), Keith (Helen), Bruce (Annie) and Carol Vanwyck (Bruce).

Cherished grandma to Micah Z., Matthew Z. (Beth), Nathan Z. (Karalee), Scott T. (Nicole), Cali T., Sam T., Charlie T., Adam V., Joel V. (Kaylagh), Megan V., Laura V. and great-grandmother to Cameron V., Clara Z., Zachary V.

Predeceased by her siblings Ruth, John, Betty, Donald, and her parents Claude and Laura (neé Bierworth) Shantz.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Marguerite with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Fred Ludolph officiating. Cremation will follow and interment will take place at New Dundee Union Cemetery at a later date.
