Harold Gordon Vanwyck passed away at his residence in Waterloo on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at the age of 83. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Sally (nee) Weppler. Father of Wayne (Dawna), Elmira, Randy (Sharon), Owen Sound, Kathy (Howard Savage), Mayerthorpe, AB, Bruce (Carol), Waterloo, and daughter-in-law Lynn of Owen Sound. Dear grandpa to 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by his brother Elgin and sister Jean Scott. Predeceased by his son Raymond (1999), sister Meryl Traynor, parents Ernest and Elsie, sister-in-law and brothers-in- law Jessie, Gordon and Jerry.
Harold was a man of faith, an active volunteer in his church and his community throughout his life. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Harold with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home on Saturday September 24, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo.
