Over the years at Westheights we have taken a number of teams to Nicaragua. We have many BIC churches in that country that are struggling to move the mission of their church ahead. We have committed many resources as a church to help them with their mission. Just recently we sent the final instalment of $17,000 from the commitments we had made as part of our Greater Things campaign to help them with the construction of their national ministry and training centre.
In recent years, the focus of our work in Nicaragua has been the advancement of the project at San Antonio Sur. This project involves the construction of a national ministry and training centre for the Nicaraguan church. I just received some updated photos from the San Antonio Sur project that are below. Through your encouragement of sending teams and funds you can see how significantly the project is developing.
This coming February 2018 the BIC church is planning to send a team to Nicaragua. The BIC is hoping that there will be interest among the congregation at Westheights in being part of this team in light of our leadership in this country over the past seven years. You will hear more information about this trip in the fall and I am hoping that there will be people from Westheights who sign up and join in to be part of one of these life-changing trips.
