Thanks to our amazing volunteers who braved the cold on Tuesday night to do door-to-door food bank collection, and our drivers who chased down those teams in the dark and loaded up their vehicles with donations, our snack people who made scrumptious treats, and our packing team for sorting and packing dozens of boxes of food. As the packing team sorted and checked for expired food, there was a competition to see who would find the oldest food … Jordan Slater was a sleuth and found PC Instant Oatmeal dated 2012. Other unusual (non-edible) things we discovered were: lipstick, deodorant, and a mug cozy!

Check back  next week, when we’ll update you with the pounds of food we collected.

In the meantime, watch this brief video on the event. And thanks to Faith FM for the shout-out!
