Intentionally building community can be tough, especially if there are lots of things on the calendar, tasks to complete, and mix in some fear and anxiety the desire to press into a young adult community can shrink. When we begin to isolate ourselves from others, telling ourselves we are okay to do life independently we miss out on the gift that is community.
Being in community can feel uncomfortable and is challenging. Yet through coming together and sharing in our vulnerabilities we are building friendships and creating a network that can support us through the ups and downs of life.
Come over to the portable building after church service on Sunday November 26th for refreshments and an opportunity to hear how other young adults are building community, and to get to know the young adults here at Westheights.
