When we think of setting aside time for daily prayer, sometimes we find it daunting and discouraging because we over-think it and make it more complicated than it needs to be. Author and theologian Richard Foster says in his book, Celebration of Discipline, “Of all the Spiritual Disciplines, prayer is the most central because it ushers us into perpetual communion with the Father.” So how do we demystify prayer and make it a more natural part of our everyday life?
