This Sunday we begin an advent teaching series, Persons of Interest, focusing on Zechariah and Elizabeth and how they trusted God even when their journey was not what they expected. In keeping with this theme of trust during times of disappointment, we are learning the powerful song, Way Maker. It is our prayer that in times of fear or disappointment, the words of this song will remind us to fearlessly trust God. He is a way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness – that is who He is.

Written and originally recorded by Nigerian singer and songwriter, Osinachi Joseph (popularly known as Sinach), the message of the song has had such an international impact that it has been covered by many artists, including:

Original artist, Sinach

Michael W. Smith and Vanessa Campagna (Radio version)

LYRICS – WAY MAKER

You are here moving in our midst
I worship you, I worship you
You are here working in this place
I worship you, I worship you

Way maker, Miracle worker
Promise keeper, Light in the darkness
My God, that is who you are

You are here touching every heart
I worship you, I worship you
You are here healing every life
I worship you, I worship you

You are here turning lives around
I worship you, I worship you
You are here mending every heart
I worship you, I worship you

Even when I don’t see it, You’re working
Even when I don’t feel it, You’re working
You never stop, You never stop working
You never stop, You never stop working

These are the other songs we’ll be singing this Sunday (Dec 1, 2019), along with a YouTube playlist.
