Westheights Church, we need your help! Right in our backyard, House of Friendship is starting a Community Food Distribution Program out of the Forest Heights Community Centre next door to us, to help people in our neighbourhood receive food to support their families. To make this happen, House of Friendship needs volunteers to set up the food, get to know our neighbours receiving the food, and help them to choose the food that they need. This program starts on Monday, April 20, 2020 and will run every other Monday thereafter. Volunteers will be needed from 11am to 3pm. Training will be provided.
As a church, we want to grow in our connection to our neighbourhood and see this as an amazing opportunity to embody the love of Jesus by supporting one of the many good things that are happening in our neighbourhood. In response to this need, we would like to commit to providing a team of 5-6 consistent volunteers at each event (every other Monday). If you can commit to being available at least once a month, please email Pastor Josh and he will be in touch with more details.
