Hey there Westheights! Let’s just admit that Good Friday and Easter will have a different “feel” this year. My hope is that this disruption will be an invitation for us to experience the cross and the resurrection in new and meaningful ways. We are looking forward to seeing you!

As we wrap up this week, here are three things you might want to know about …

1. Good Friday

Join us tomorrow at 10:30AM, for our Good Friday service. Our time together will include a family-friendly reading of the Last Supper and Jesus’ betrayal, a short meditation, and communion. In preparation for communion, we are asking that you have a small glass of red juice and a piece of bread (or cracker) with you so that we can eat and drink together. Please have your elements ready for the beginning of the service. (Remember to take a photo of your communion setup and share it through FB or email to office@westheights.org).

Of course, we will also have our Sundays Online Easter message. Click here for a teaser of what’s coming up.

2. Online Devotional Study

Are you looking for a way to stay connected and continue to grow as a follower of Jesus? If so, you are invited to our fourth online devotional study. This week our study begins on Tuesday April 14 and runs for 3 days. This link will take you to the YouVersion Bible App, where we’ll go at the same pace, reading a devotional reading, a verse of scripture, and then discuss what God is teaching us along the way. This study will reflect on the implications of Easter for our lives today.

3. Looking for Worship Music?

This week’s music playlist comes from our Westheights folks, who shared their favourite songs, on the theme of Good Friday and Easter. The playlists can be played on either Spotify or YouTube.  Amidst the distractions of our lives, may the words of these songs help focus our hearts and minds on Jesus’ death and triumphant resurrection.
