Happy Friday, Westheights! On Monday, the provincial government moved our region into Stage 2 of their plan to re-open Ontario. What this means for churches is that public gatherings will be permitted at 30% of their building’s capacity.
We are all excited about the possibility of being able to do more and so you might be wondering when we will resume in-person gatherings. This is an excellent question that our leadership (the staff and the Board) are discussing. We are committed to being safe and responsible in the next steps we take. In short, we want to do it right! So please stay tuned.
For now, we will continue meeting online on our Youtube channel.
In the meantime, here are some other things you should know about.
1. Send us a picture of you and your dad
Sunday, June 21st is Father’s Day and we want to include some family pictures in our Sunday service as a way of acknowledging the important place dads have in our lives. Please email your photos to joshmutter@westheights.org by Wednesday June 16.
2. Westheights Virtual Food Drive
We have one more week remaining in our Virtual Food Drive in support of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. To donate: https://www.thefoodbank.ca/westheightschurch/
3. Virtual Foyer
This Sunday we are once again having a virtual foyer by using Zoom so that we can see and say “hi” to one another after the service. To join in right after this Sunday’s service, simply click this link. If you aren’t set up with Zoom yet, we recommend that you click on the link and set things up before Sunday.
4. Online Devotional Study
On Monday June 15, we will begin a 6-day devotional study called God’s Justice – A Global Perspective. To join, click here.
