In Ruth Chapter 2, we see the attitude and character of one in whom God is pleased.  This chapter shows us the type of character that pleases God, reminding us of God’s presence, kindness, and heart for the vulnerable. Pastor Josh Mutter asks us to reflect on how we can bring hope to others, and how we can help the vulnerable.

RUTH CHAPTER TWO

Ruth 2 NIV

GOD’S PRESENCE AND KINDNESS

– There is more to our story than what we see.

Reflection Question: How is God working through me to bring hope to others?

GOD’S HEART FOR THE VULNERABLE

– Power and resources are things that we can use in a selfish fashion or in a way that shows kindness to others.

– To understand God’s heart for the vulnerable is to do more than the bare minimum.

– To understand God’s heart is to use our position to provide protection for those whose safety is threatened.

Reflection Question: How will I use whatever wealth, power and influence I have to help others?
