The themes of hope, love, joy, and peace are a part of the journey of Advent, and the focus in this second week is love. It is our prayer that during this season we would experience the love of Christ in new ways. How might we examine our lives to find fresh ways to accept (and share) this love?

GOD WITH US: LOVE

Message by Josh Mutter – December 6, 2020

Isaiah 40:1-5

Comfort, comfort my people,
 says your God.
Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,
 and proclaim to her
that her hard service has been completed,
 that her sin has been paid for,
that she has received from the Lord’s hand
 double for all her sins.

A voice of one calling:
“In the wilderness prepare
the way for the Lord;
make straight in the desert
a highway for our God.
Every valley shall be raised up,
 every mountain and hill made low;
the rough ground shall become level,
the rugged places a plain.
And the glory of the Lord will be revealed,
and all people will see it together.
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Experiencing God’s Love

• What areas of my life need to experience God’s love?

• How can I share God’s love with others?

Preparing for God’s Love

Next Step – Make time to confess our sins and to ask God to prepare us to receive his love.
