The Community Centre Collection is an opportunity for us to live out our vision to be a vibrant community of followers of Jesus which serves our neighbours by meeting needs and showing love by meeting some of the tangible needs of those in our neighbourhood. 

The Forest Heights Community Centre hosts a weekly food distribution program and they regularly run out of certain items. This got us thinking that one of the ways that we can serve our neighbours is by asking if there were certain items that we could collect for them. They loved this idea and are going to let us know 2-3 items that we can collect for them each month. As you will notice, not all of these items will be food. 

How it will work…

  • At the beginning of each month, we will let you know what items are needed via our FYI Friday blog/email and Sunday announcements
  • You buy one or two of these items the next time you buy groceries
  • You will drop items off in the donation bin located on the ramp to the church office
  • We will arrange delivery to the Community Centre
