What begs your inner strategist – or your casual comedian – to show itself more than a good game of…Well, name any classic favourite! Especially when it’s GIANT-sized 🙂
Westheights’ Young Adults had some good laughs playing Giant Games on Sunday…We made welcome connections, talked about the giant things in our present lives, and pondered the idea of an invested God who prepared a young shepherd, David, to be the secret weapon of Israel. David would take down that giant Philistine while all the warriors in Israel looked on, shaking in their sandals!
David’s odds weren’t actually horrendous, given his amazing skill with a club and a sling. And if David could take down Goliath, then perhaps we should be asking ourselves: In what ways has God prepared us? What secret weapon will He use to defeat the giants in our lives?
