Care

Message by Josh Mutter – February 6, 2022

Big Idea: We want to be a church that cares for the needs of one another.

Being a church that cares starts with understanding our interconnectedness.

…so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.  If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. – 1 Corinthians 12:25-26 NIV

We are a church that cares when we take on the responsibility for one another.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. – Galatians 5:13 NIV

We are a church that cares when we put our responsibility for one another into action.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.  Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. – 1 Peter 4-8-11 NIV
