Announcement:

The 17th world assembly of Mennonite World Conference (MB, BIC, and MC) will be held in Indonesia July 5-10. Since covid restrictions limit personal attendance, there is an online option (see mwc-cmm.org). And here in K-W, “glocal watch parties” of the assembly’s plenary worship services are scheduled for:

    • Tue, July 5, 7:00 pm at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St E, Kitchener
    • Wed through Fri, 3:00pm & 7:00pm, First Mennonite Church, Kitchener
    • Sat, July 9, 7:00pm, First Mennonite Church, Kitchener
    • Sun, July 10, 7:00 pm, Meheret Evangelical Church, 46 Krug St., Kitchener

Come and enjoy local intercultural gatherings while connecting with the global community of Anabaptist related churches. Bring your own water bottle. Offerings will be held for the ministry of Mennonite World Conference.

The next MWC Assembly in 2027 will be in Ethiopia and we’re delighted that Meheret Church will be hosting our final night!

If you haven’t engaged much with the Mennonite World Conference in the past, now is your chance to learn more and catch a glimpse of how diverse** the global Anabaptist/Mennonite church is!

All are welcome! ¡Todos son bienvenidos! Tout le monde est bienvenu!

**Fun Fact: MWC membership in 2022 included one international association and 109 Mennonite and Brethren in Christ national churches from 59 countries, with around 1.47 million baptized believers in close to 10,300 congregations. About 84% of baptized believers in MWC member churches are African, Asian or Latin American, and 16% are located in Europe and North America.
