On Sunday, October 1st, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Westheights, join in as we participate in a profound and educational experience that explores the history of our nation through the KAIROS blanket exercise.

Facilitated by Mennonite Central Committee Ontario in partnership with KAIROS Canada
This interactive event is an opportunity for us to engage in the journey toward Truth and Reconciliation.

Experience the Story Through the Eyes of First Peoples
Step into the shoes of the Original Peoples of this Land and gain insights into our country’s colonized history. The Blanket Exercise is a unique and interactive experience that sheds light on sensitive subjects such as Residential Schools, Assimilation, and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Children.

Sensitive Material and Supportive Environment
Given the sensitive nature of the material covered, MCC is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all participants. The MCC Indigenous Neighbours team will be there to guide and support us throughout the exercise and circle. It’s important to recognize that the Blanket Exercise can evoke emotions, regardless of our background or time on this Land. Our feelings are natural and will be respected.

Your Story Matters
We encourage everyone to attend with an open heart and a willingness to learn. Remember as you attend this event, each of us brings our own unique stories into the circle, enriching the experience for all.
