This year’s New Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale is on May 29-30, 2015 with all proceeds going directly to the work of MCC (Mennonite Central Committee). However, operating costs of approximately $50,000 (e.g. fairground rental, hydro, insurance, etc.) still need to be covered; the Promotion Dinner is the major fundraiser to cover those expenses.
This year’s dinner is on Monday, April 20, 6:30 pm at Bingeman Park Lodge with guest speaker Issa Sadi Embombolo, founder of MCC’s Peace Clubs in Zambia. The dinner ticket is $10.00 (prepaid) which only covers the cost associated with the meal. During the dinner, guests will be encouraged to make additional contributions to help cover the operating costs. Any amount contributed above the $10.00 dinner ticket is considered a receiptable donation. If you are unable to attend the dinner but would still like to make a donation, mail your cheque to OMRS Inc., 50 Kent Avenue, Kitchener, ON N2G 3R1.
