There are moments in life where your world opens up and seems so much bigger and more amazing than you ever thought possible before. Moments where God cracks open our perception of how things are, and we change.
Pitch and Praise is a weekend where those kinds of moments happen. Where we go outside of ourselves (and literally outside!) and open ourselves up to who God is and what He is doing. For four days full of laughing, games, speakers, music, dancing, tuck shop, french fries, and maybe some tears, God will ask us to open up a bit (or maybe a lot).
This year’s Pitch theme is Forge. This is a word that asks us, “What is God building?” If you’re new to church or thinking about God, this is a great way to ask some big questions. If you’ve been to church your whole life, this might be the weekend where God asks you to think a little differently. And all of it happens while camping and having a great time with your friends and leaders.
Pitch and Praise – May 15-18th, 2015
Pitch and Praise is an outdoor camping retreat that takes place every year over the May long weekend. We’ve been going to Pitch for six years now and always have a fantastic time. Some of our leaders went when they were in high school and still love going – that’s how awesome it is. The weekend combines great general sessions with sports and gaming tournaments, workshops, prayer experiences, movies, and so much more. And we camp the whole time!
The early bird rate for Pitch and Praise is $125 if you register before April 20th. It’s a great deal that covers all your food and activities for the weekend. After the 20th, the price goes up to $145, so register now and save that cash for those french fries!
Then just fill it out and bring your cash or cheque to Tom before April 20th. Cheques should be made out to Westheights Community Church.
Visit the Pitch and Praise website for more details about speakers, artists, features, etc.
