We are extremely fortunate that on Sunday, April 19th we will have a very special guest speaker, Jay Smith, all the way from London, England. Jay is coming to the Kitchener-Waterloo area as part of a citywide conference called “The Islam Effect Seminars” (see the flyer here) and we were very fortunate that he was willing to come to Westheights and speak at our Sunday morning service. It is not often that we are able to bring a guest speaker of Jay’s calibre to our church but this is one of those special opportunities. Mark the date on your calendar and don’t miss the service on Sunday, April 19th.
Jay is a noted evangelist and apologist to Muslims at Speaker’s Corner in London. Jay is an expert in Christian-Muslim apologetics having worked with Muslims for the past 23 years. He is famous for his unique evangelistic ministry. Every weekend he leads dozens of Christians to the Speakers Corner in Hyde Park in London, where they meet with hundreds of Muslims face to face, to make friends, answer tough questions, debate the latest research and ideas, and share their faith. Smith heads up Hyde Park Christian Fellowship.
Jay has a Master’s degree in Islamic studies from Fuller Theological Seminary and is currently working on a Ph.D. at London School of Theology.
