Did you know that over 70 people each week participate in House Churches? In fact, we have groups literally meeting every day of the week, and it’s not too late for you to get involved. This coming Sunday, October 4th will be Westheights House Church Feature Day, where you will get a chance to speak to our small group leaders about the different opportunities available for growing deeper in your following of Jesus.

As you have heard Pastor Todd say on numerous occasions, House Churches are excellent places for learning how to live out your faith as you share in community and explore together what it means to follow Jesus in today’s world.

We are blessed to have many amazing House Church leaders, all who have created groups that are safe places, where participants are encouraged to wrestle with the tough questions of faith, discover and use their gifts, and grow through serving.

A number of our House Churches have been supporting people for many years and are always excited to have new people join in. We’re also very thankful for some brand new groups that are starting up this fall. There will be a House Church beginning on Sunday nights, which focuses on parenting and families, and includes childcare for young children. Pastor Todd will also soon be starting a Book Club House Church, which will meet on Saturday mornings. Alternatively, in November you may want to consider joining the Tuesday night House Church for 5 weeks as they study the important issue of homosexuality and the church.

Our dream is that everyone at Westheights would be able to participate in a House Church and we’re endeavouring to provide as many opportunities as possible to make it easier for people to become part of a small group. Please consider checking out one of our groups this fall and you can look forward to a year of accelerated growth in your faith. Pick up a brochure listing all of the small groups from one of our House Church representatives this Sunday after the service.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24, 25 )
