Happy Friday Westheights,
This week begins the season of Lent. In some traditions, observing Lent is accompanied by the practice of fasting or giving up certain luxuries in order to follow along with Jesus’ journey to the cross that started with his fasting in the wilderness for 40 days. While we may not decide to practice fasting this year, my hope is that each of us will engage in practices that cause us to reflect on the significance of what Jesus has done as we anticipate Good Friday and Easter.
As we enter this Lenten season, we are excited to have Laura Klavar from Pathway Community Church speaking this Sunday (Feb 21). Laura brings with her a passion for scripture and a genuine heart for following Jesus.

Prayer Requests
