Take My Life (Here Am I)
For our final week of INCREASE, our theme is generosity. This song quickly came to mind for this theme. It is a declaration of giving every part of ourselves and all that we have to God, to be used for His purposes. It is a modern remake of the hymn “Take My Life and Let It Be”. You can listen to this song by Chris Tomlin here.
God of Justice
The song “God of Justice” ties into our INCREASE theme of mercy for this week. It is based on Micah 6:8 – “And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” You can listen to this song here.
Break Our Hearts
Our theme this week during INCREASE is mercy. Mercy : the quality of love in action. I love the song Break Our Hearts by Vicky Beeching because it calls us to “put our good intentions into action” and show mercy and love as Jesus does. You can listen to the song here.
No Chains On Me
As we focus on freedom this week during INCREASE, check out this song by Chris Tomlin. “Like a rolling stone, like a runaway train, no turning back, no more yesterdays. My heart is free, no chains on me!” You can listen to the song here.
We Are The Free
Today starts week 4 of INCREASE, and our theme is freedom. Here’s a song to help kick off the week! You can listen to the song “We Are The Free” by Matt Redman here.
My Hope
On the topic of hope for this week of INCREASE, here is a beautiful song called “My Hope” by Matt Redman. It is based on the hymn lyrics “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” This is one of my favourite songs that Matt Redman has done. You can listen to the song and see the video with lyrics here.
Jesus Saves
This week during INCREASE our topic is hope. Check out this song called “Jesus Saves” by Tim Hughes. It’s an upbeat and hope filled song, focusing on the saving power of Jesus. You can listen to this song (as recorded by Jeremy Camp) and watch the video with lyrics here.
Joy Is In This Place
For our theme of joy during this second week of INCREASE, here is a song called “Joy Is In This Place” by Tim Hughes. It incorporates the words of the classic hymn “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I’m found, was blind but now I see.” As it says in Psalm 51:12, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me.” You can listen to the song here.
Joyful (The One Who Saves)
0During our second week of INCREASE, our topic is joy. This will be the theme on Sunday, March 4. We will be learning a new song on Sunday called “Joyful (The One Who Saves)”. It is a contemporary remake of the hymn “Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee”. Want a heads up before Sunday? Listen to this great song here! In this video you watch a man creating a great painting to this song.
How Great is the Love
0This week during INCREASE we focus on gratitude. We have many things to be thankful for in our lives, but some stand above the rest: the great love that God has for us and the freedom and life Jesus brought us through his sacrifice. “Jesus, faithful King. Lord, we grateful hearts we sing. How great is the love, how great is the love of our Saviour.” You can listen to the song here.
What Can I Do
1This week as we kick off INCREASE, our 40 Day Spiritual Adventure, we are focusing on gratitude. As this song says, as we see the immense beauty of God’s creation and the overwhelming love that Jesus showed us at the cross, “What can I do but thank You, what can I do but give my life to You?” You can listen to this song by Paul Baloche here.
